Since I arrived in Saskatoon 3 months ago a lot has changed for me. I've started to feel more at home in a city I barely knew before, to the point that I may actually miss it if I end up leaving in April. Here are some things you may not know if you've never been to Saskatoon before.
  1. It’s very, very cold and windy. I may only being saying this now because it is mid March and almost -20 today. But come on. Warm up already.
  2. Hoodies=bunny hugs. I have yet to say this yet and probably never will because that’s a weird name for a hoodie in my opinion.
  3. The university has this thing called the Canadian Light Source Synchrotron. I have done 3 stories on it and I still don’t totally know what it is. I do know that it helps conduct tons of scientific research. Like make medical Isotopes.
  4. A culvert is one of those drains you find in ditches. Do not tell people you work with that you don’t know what they’re called..they will mock you. Apparently they discovered Edmontonian’s are clueless when it comes to culverts when Jessica Kent blew our cover at a story on them. So they have been testing us since.
  5. The Company PotashCorp sponsors everything in the city. I mean everything. We Day-sponsored by Potashcorp. Anything involving huskies athletics-sponsored by Potashcorp. Also I have learned what Potash is.
